About Us

East African Youth Network (EAYN) is an umbrella body for youth Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and youth groups in East Africa Community (EAC). The Network was established in 2013 (Registered 21st Nov 2022; Reg No. I-NGO/R/4099) as a platform for continuous dialogue between young people and EAC organs as provided for in Articles 127, 128 and 129 of the EAC Treaty.

The East African Youth Network has a membership base of over 720 youth organizations across East Africa, with extensive experience in regional integration, peace-building, cross Boarder activities, entrepreneurship, innovation, agri-business, health promotion and youth advocacy.

The East African Youth Network (EAYN) is a vibrant platform uniting young people from the East African Community (EAC) partner states to champion youth engagement in social, economic, and political spheres. EAYN serves as a bridge between the youth and key stakeholders, including governments, civil society organizations, and regional bodies. Through advocacy, capacity building, and collaborative programs, we aim to create a cohesive network of empowered youth driving change and influencing policy.

Since our establishment, EAYN has been at the forefront of youth-focused initiatives, from grassroots empowerment projects to high-level regional dialogues. Our work spans across critical areas such as peacebuilding, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and civic participation, fostering an environment where youth can thrive and contribute to sustainable development.
